Newsweek Heavily Criticized For Niall Ferguson Article (VIDEO): "Niall Ferguson disclosed that he worked on the John McCain campaign in 2008 so that should have told you where he stood when he wrote this article. Newsweek has damaged its credibility by now claiming that the article as an "opinion" article. Strange that you don't see that in the article. Compounding Newsweek's problem is the state of journalism of late with plagiarism from some of the most lauded and respected news organizations. Now Newsweek is allowing opinion articles to come off as factual, unfettered, tested against scrutiny articles. But if Newsweek wishes to go in the direction of opinion article writing, well, we already have that whenever we head for the supermarket checkout counter. Hey, where is that National Enquirer about Jessica Simpson's is having another baby and she's calling it Wait Watt Cher, where's the Globe Magazine about alien babies cloned from Hitler's bunker, never mind, Newsweek is here and it has a story about millions spent on making a real Transformer War Machine. As the famous woman once said, And so it goes."
