Pundits: Mitt Romney Fundraiser Comments His 'Darkest Hour,' 'Utter Disaster' (VIDEO): "Who knew that a Saturday Night Live season opener skit showing Barack Obama's secret weapon of Mitt Romney giving a speech would have been a harbinger of things to come? It's Romney's own words that's damaging himself, not any opposition ad, not the media, just Mitt himself. And there is his sheer arrogance in holding these press conferences that do him no good will. His first one during the attack on the Libyan consulate was arrogant and filled with plenty of wrong headed information. His followup press conference was premium pure arrogance when he doubled down on the rhetoric and compounded his error even more. And with his latest hastily called press conference he makes no apology but says that the wording wasn't right. And anytime you have the phrase "hastily called press conference" it's never a good thing. In that closed meeting at this country club, Mitt used words that only solidified the truth of who he really is versus the plastic Romney he presents. Words like "those people" and "victims" will ring loudly in these coming weeks as Mitt's campaign and some core Republicans and Palin try to defend him once again. Richard Nixon is smiling down or up to see that he has a new protege."
