Bob Dylan: Slavery Stigma Has Ruined America

Bob Dylan: Slavery Stigma Has Ruined America: "The founding of this nation has a brutal ugly history. Some wish to ignore it but the remnants of this history still plays out today through the generations. Bob Dylan tosses out this line on slavery was the carrier that help built this nation but you cannot ignore the total wanton onslaught of the Native Americans and the numerous broken treaties the U.S. government exacted that involved massive land grabs and the destruction of many cultural beliefs. And then there's the internment camps of legitimate Japanese American citizens during WWII. And of course the wholesale acceptance of Jim Crow laws used to keep American blacks further down and was condone by the U.S. government as well. Today should be a new chapter but we have slotted voter ID laws enacted by Republicans to hold down the minority votes and you have blatant levels of racism being conducted in such covert fashion that it becomes obvious: a sitting president called out as a liar while giving a speech in the well of Congress, a question about being born in the U.S. and questions about his faith when all has been proven to the contrary. It's a bitter pill to swallow sometimes when you thought we were better and should be better than this by now."
