Don't You Ever Ask Them Why, If they Told You, You Would Cry
By Bobbie L. Washington
How can we explain away the lives of 20 incomplete futures and six guiding hands to see it through? Newtown, Connecticut unfortunately joins 30 other communities across the United States in a fraternity of tragedies imposed by people suffering from a form of mental illness. Our senses come under fire with a myriad of questions off why, who did this, how can this happen again? We are shocked again, this is no scripted reality show. Twenty six lives woke up one morning to go to elementary school without a care in the world. Crayons, Elmer’s glue, safety scissors and construction paper should have been the only thing on these 20 young lives minds as they probably were cutting out things with a Christmas decorating theme..
A community of tranquility where people moved to raise their children in a setting almost pristine to life now suffers a ripple effect when this lone madness destroyed the calm. There are children who are now called survivors and we don’t know as yet how many saw their classmates dead? The long term impact of nightmares loom large. There is a school that holds this new horror. How can they go back to this school? How can parents let their children go to school after this? Elementary schools will now have armed patrols. This was suppose to be a safe haven. This was suppose to be the unwritten, unspoken rule that nothing was suppose to happen to little children at elementary schools. This was suppose to be about Christmas and innocence, not anymore.
And what of this latest madman? The guns he used were obtained legally just like the other weapons used in many of the other communities And like many of the suspects, there was. the revelation that mental illness was the catalyst into these carnage. Gabriel Gifford’s shooter was mentally ill. The Batman movie theater shooter was mentally ill. The Virginia Tech shooter was mentally ill. As anger grows about gun control, there isn’t anything that can be done to force a person with mental illness to take his medicine. We have freedom of speech to scream at the top of our lungs about this latest tragedy and the mentally ill have the right not to take their medicine if they don’t want to. They cannot be compelled to take it because we live in the same society that gives even the mentally ill free will even though they are incapable of making rational thought. They deludes themselves into thinking that they have control over their emotions and on occasion, they stop taking their medication because they think they are fine or because the medicine makes them feel funny. But the laws we subscribe to gives them the right not to be forced into taking the medication.
As humans, we have evolved over the centuries where one would think that the evil that is put upon us would have tempered such behavior but it has not. The holocaust of World War I was never suppose to happen again that even the United Nations made it a resolution to take actions against any country that conducts such atrocities. Unfortunately we have not learned from our past. Over 800,000 killed in Africa from warring tribes and brutal dictators practicing genocide. Saddam Hussein uses chemical weapons on thousands of his own countrymen because of their religious affiliation while mass graves are discovered after his empire collapse. Our nation has its history of atrocities as well from the specters of slavery to the wholesale elimination of Native American tribes sanctioned by our own very government under broken treaties for land grabs to their sacred territory.
There is evil that has stayed in our collective culture for many centuries. History says that it will never go away. There are twenty children that are gone. There could have been a future doctor who discovered the gene that causes Parkinson’s. There could have been a future Nobel Peace Prize winner who ended the Middle East conflict in the Arab states. There could have been a future NASA scientist who made it possible to actually travel through space at warp speed. There could have been a future Olympian gold medalist who shattered twelve long standing records. There could have been a future American president who got the GOP to get in line and work for the people of the United States. There could have been the next great American writer who would go on to be compared to Hemingway or Salinger.
In science fiction movies where time travel is possible, the scenario of a person going back in time is to not do anything to disrupt anything in the future. If that possibility truly existed, it seems as if some traveler has come back in time a disrupted the future of twenty children. It seems like no matter how much we see in life, how horrible a tragedy may happen, there is another one that comes along and shocks us again. The nation has witness these dates, December 7, 1941, November 22, 1963 and September 11, 2001. As tragic as these events were, we are resolute in our convictions to stand strong while feeling the most horrific of pain. Madmen are here. They walk among us everyday. They conduct willful acts of human indecency. And as we mourn another new loss, we persevere to not let the madmen win. At the end of the day, it will not be about the mentally ill with access to guns, it will be about us and how we deal with preventing this from happening again.

Drudge Report's Shocking N-Word Quentin Tarantino Splash
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/12/drudge-report-n-word-quentin-tarantino_n_2284358.html
Drudge has turned into an off shoot of Fox News. His site used to have merit a long time ago but has since relegated itself into shilling for the GOP. He held out at calling himself a "journalist" for uncovering the Monica Lewinsky scandal but as the old saying goes, what have you done for me lately? When Obama won reelection there was a small byline on it because he refused to acknowledge Romney's massive misinterpretation of the poll numbers and his massive drubbing in the election returns. Now he goes after Tarentino over Tarentino's depiction of slavery in the old south. That word was used by men of despicable behavior. This isn't some Disney movie that rewrites hooker stories into happy endings, considering Walt Disney was an anti-Semitic racist of his time. Drudge is tilting at windmills needing to be relevant once more but only is coming off as fading away from past glories that's 20 years old for a sad little man.

Mitt Romney: Obama Won With 'Gifts' To Blacks, Hispanics, Young Voters
Mitt Romney: Obama Won With 'Gifts' To Blacks, Hispanics, Young Voters: "Mitt Romney has a pattern, he doubles down when he's at fault. His comments are reminiscent of the Libya consulate attack where he called a press conference and voiced his opinions on very little facts. After hearing about the details, rather than refraining from making any more statements, he doubled down and made more unsupported claims. He stood at his moment after the defeat to become a statesman to sit across the table with Obama to hammer out the fiscal crisis. Instead, he whines bout how he lost the elections because Obama made "gifts" to so many Hispanic, blacks, college students and single women without taking into consideration that the bucks stops with him. It's not his fault, it's that wily smart uppity black man who's campaign did their homework and followed the demographic trends. It wasn't because the Republicans ignored the trends, felt like going back to the 1950's was a selling feature and just insulting huge swatches of the populous with the real Mitt Romney voicing his complaints about the 47% of the needy population with their begging hands out, making $10,000 bets with a forgetful Texas governor and just being wishy washy on your core principals. This is the true Mitt Romney,, a shallow hollow man doing little to move the barometer of cooperation between the two parties. If he had won, this is the Romney we would have gotten, Richard Nixon II. "

Newt Gingrich 'Dumbfounded' By Obama's 'Extraordinary Victory' Over Mitt Romney
Newt Gingrich 'Dumbfounded' By Obama's 'Extraordinary Victory' Over Mitt Romney: "Newt Gingrich calls into question what the GOP has been ignoring for quite some time and that is the last Census count. You have a population that has become diverse and you ignore the data that's been available to every pollster, you've deluded yourself into believing your party is immune to change. In the last presidential election cycle, your party knew that the demographics were changing when the numbers showed that more minorities and Hispanics voted in 2008. The GOP did the reverse, instead of embracing those changes and being inclusive, your party devised schemes to thwart the voting process by instituting legislation to prevent voter fraud, where no existed but designed to minimizing minority and Hispanic voter turnout. You wanted a voter ID card. Independent studies showed that there wasn't any voter fraud. In the case of Florida, your Republican governor limited the early voting time creating that fiasco. His justification for reducing it was as thin as Sarah Palin's skin when it came to truth telling. You can still try to fool some pf the people some of the time but you can't scam your way into power by denying voter's rights with lies, fear tactics, and obfuscations. Some Republicans may see this as a wake up call but there are still many who have double down with contempt, Mitch McConnell, as they figure out their next battle plan. If the obstructionism starts over again, let them know it will be their last hurrah when they get voted out. "

Joe Scarborough: GOP Donors 'Lied To By 'Conservative Media' (VIDEO)
Joe Scarborough: GOP Donors 'Lied To By 'Conservative Media' (VIDEO): "Nobody forced the conservative GOP donors to wear blinders after buying into the idea that Mitt Romney was going to win the election. The fault doesn't rest squarely on the conservative media but what has been in existence in more prominence since the George W. Bush administration and that is simply pure sheer white male arrogance. This behavior has been the upending to many things that have gone wrong in this country. We went into depth based on lies. We had two wars based on lies. During Bush's second term when he said that the election gave him "political capital", that was the start of thew spiraling economy. He had the wrong vision and listened to the likes of Cheney who's only goal was to make money for his Halliburton/KBR cronies by promoting the Iraq/Afghanistan wars. Contracts were issued to them without any competitive bids. Fast forward to today and a gullible Super PAC wants to restore the country back to 1950's ideology while ignoring the fact that demographics have shifted. This was an election cycle for future classes to look back on and dissect where the culture wars shifted and the parties involved that ignored the writings on the wall."

Conservative Media Clamor Couldn't Put Romney Over The Top
Conservative Media Clamor Couldn't Put Romney Over The Top: "During the beginning of the Internet, the Drudge Report was one of those most visited sites, not anymore. Out of curiosity, I went and visited it to see how he would handle Obama's victory. It was buried in a listed link with other news stories. He refused to acknowledge Obama's victory as a banner headline. Drudge claims he's a journalist but his right leaning bias refuse to accept this history making news.He was relevant during the Clinton administration when he broke the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He used to be water cooler talk but he hasn't been for quite some time. HuffPost has garnered more traffic and next day discussion than Drudge these days. It also offers interaction. If Drudge is nothing more than a right wing propaganda tool, how can you trust it to bring factual information? Much like Fox News, refusing to acknowledge Obama's victory from Drudge must have been tantamount to sitting in a chair and getting lectured by Clint Eastwood."

Donald Trump's Tweets Deleted Following Post-Election Tirade
Donald Trump's Tweets Deleted Following Post-Election Tirade: "Donald Trump and Jack Welch must hold the belief that because they are paper billionaires, what they say is paramount to God speaking. What both men have demonstrated is that wealth is not a requirement for having common sense and decency. Both of these boorish men have demonstrated that they are short on rational thought, purpose and restraint. To jump to the reasoning that the election was a sham because your candidate lost demonstrates Trump's lack of vision that Romney was a flawed candidate during the height of the primary race. He was a seesaw frontrunner as the election hoisted up a new frontrunner every two weeks. Bachmann was a frontrunner, Santorum was a frontrunner, Cain was a frontrunner. And is Trump ignoring the 47% country club meeting? Pompous egos makes sore losers a plenty. Thin skin comes from thinking you're better than everyone and that silver spoon equates to the rules we subscribe to not applying to you. He speaks of a revolution. Well, in another lifetime and country, maybe a revolution was needed for the rich and powerful when someone uttered, Let them eat cake. We're not French and Trump is lucky he lives in a country where he can hide his wealth, say what he wants, wear a small rodent on his head and exercise his right to be a buffoon with money. And Trump, your show hasn't had great numbers in years. Delusions of grandeur wears poorly on your shoulders, Donald. "

Sarah Palin On Obama Victory: 'It's A Perplexing Time For Many Of Us Right Now' (VIDEO)
Sarah Palin On Obama Victory: 'It's A Perplexing Time For Many Of Us Right Now' (VIDEO): "What the haggard looking Sarah Palin and the GOP has failed to realize on that election night is that America is no longer a monochromatic nation it was founded under. Change was the mantra in 2008 but change began in the 1960's with the signing of the voter's rights act. What the GOP experienced in 2008 was the signal that the country was and has changed. The GOP still saw America as a 1950's ideal when in truth, we've become a multicultural country. The GOP feared this and went about creating demons like voter fraud. The only ones that were targeted were minorities. Proof of identification was proposed for something that was proven to not existed at all. This was a false demon that they tried to create before the election. Obstructionism was Mitch McConnell's mantra. He let it be known that he wasn't about to go along with this president from day one and that his goal was to make Obama a one-term president, all at the expense of the American people. The people voted otherwise and I hope Mitch has gotten the point, do your job or lose your job, it's that simple. Palin, Trump and obstructionism can go thew way of the Dodo bird. We know you were there, we just don't need to see you anymore. "

Obama Elected 2012: President Clinches Electoral Vote Win
Obama Elected 2012: President Clinches Electoral Vote Win: "The Republicans have now see the writing on the wall and it's written in English and Spanish. The face of America is not just one primary color anymore. It is a rainbow and the republicans failed to reach a mandate on how to deal with the new demographic. When Obama won decisively in 2008, the Republicans saw the numbers on who did the voting and they were struck with fear. The minority is becoming the majority. So what did they do? They came up with fear mongering and an unsupported claim of massive voter fraud. To combat this supposed voter fraud, minorities must have identification. The problem with that is that all investigations into voter fraud showed that none exist and where they suspected it existed, it wasn't true. Now if the pundits are correct, there will be a civil war within the GOP on who to blame for this? Romney was never the choice for the GOP but the winner of the musical chairs of presidential; hopefuls. No tears here. The violins are playing somberly for their failure to recognize that this is a new America that has since evolved since 1776. No more Trumps, no more obstructionist GOP leaders in both houses, no more Palin, no more Fox News of rhetoric. America needs help. Get to work or get fired."

Mitt Romney Disaster Relief Position Faces Scrutiny
Mitt Romney Disaster Relief Position Faces Scrutiny: "In a carefully crafted response, Mitt Romney now "believes" in the role of FEMA. Chew slowly on those words, Mitt, the taste wasn't there when you wanted to eliminate it early on. You ducked and dodged repeated questions on the subject while on the supposed no campaigning campaign stops. While you run your misleading ads on welfare and cars being made in China under Obama, the death toll rises and billions in property is in the record books. If you are hoping that the American people have short term memories, think better not to insult us with double speak. It's interesting that during the Libya crisis you didn't hesitated to jump the gun and state your opinion about what went on there. You were wrong then as you are wrong now. If the people were to describe you, it would be as an opportunist carpetbagger slowly aligning yourself up with lobbyist to make sure your fat cat corporate will benefit from the next natural disaster while the middle class gets stuck again."

Michael Brown, Of 'Heckuva Job' Fame, Says Obama Reacted Too Fast To Hurricane Sandy: "The Dumber of the Dumb and Dumber set from the Bush Administration decided he wants to be relevant. he wasn't happy at being obscure for this many years. Sure, he was a punching bag that represented the incompetence of the Bush Administration and now he wants to compare apples to lemons. You were so close to becoming a footnote to disaster relief and now you comeback and plant your foot right in your mouth. You want to chastise competence as being what, premature? Unlike you, Obama understood what the NOAA and other experts in the field of climatology was saying, that this hurricane would join up with the weather system up north and become the worst storm on record. By your logic, the best thing to do was to wait and see what happens rather than mobilizing forces early. Rather than wait for people to suffer in stadiums, die along roadways, and drown in their houses, you made your boss look bad and in turn made hay for somebody like Kanye West to have a voice. To say that you're late on the draw is like saying you're the fetus that the Republicans want to abort. Shut up!"

Mitt Romney Refuses To Talk About FEMA After Hurricane Sandy Event
Mitt Romney Refuses To Talk About FEMA After Hurricane Sandy Event: "Is this the October surprise everyone has been touting? It must be for Romney. By wanting to turn FEMA responsibility over to the private sector, welcome to the scenario of some post apocalyptic world where some corporate fat cat is calling the shots, there are no National Guard to control a myriad of problems that follow a natural disaster. There would be no coordinated effort to handle disasters like this one that has crossed a broad area of states. How would the money be raised since the federal government is not in charge? Would the victims of the disasters be forced to pay as they go along to get their lives back in order? To remove the debris in front of your house, to remove fallen trees, to restore power, to remove sand from streets, all would come with a price tag from the for-profit private sector. Looting will become a cash business since the private sector will be in it for the money. Sorry people of New York, Connecticut, Rhode island and Pennsylvania, you're SOOL under Romney's plan of attack."

Mitt Romney's Argument For Shutting Down FEMA Ripped In New York Times Editorial
Mitt Romney's Argument For Shutting Down FEMA Ripped In New York Times Editorial: "Mitt Romney's mouth once again has forced him into doing "damage control". He made it pointedly clear that he wants to eliminate FEMA on the federal level. He spoke clear English on that so you can't just take it back and say you meant something else. He wants to put in in the hands of the for-profit private sector. And if that were to happen, can yu see all sorts of disaster assistance coming with a price list: Rescue by boat - $3000; Rescue by helicopter - $9,000; Meals ready to Eat - $6 each; 1 gallon of water - $5. Price gouging would be legal if Romney ran this country. He's not a clear thinker but a would be emperor with no clothes or clear thought for running this country. Was he thinking that any natural disaster would be so mild that it wouldn't warrant federal involvement? The history of natural disaster here and abroad should have shown him the extent a tragedy can occur. This only demonstrates how out of touch he truly is. Apparently he must have missed the major earthquakes in California, Mexico and Haiti.Apparently he was watching his horse in a dressage competition while New Orleans and Mississippi was swamped with 12 feet of water. Apparently the BP oil spill was just an insignificant inconvenience to his portfolio decline that bounced right back up after he shifted some jobs from America to China. Heck of a job you're planning there Romney."

How Would The Paul Ryan Budget Handle Disaster Relief?
How Would The Paul Ryan Budget Handle Disaster Relief?: "If Paul Ryan were to implement his budget cuts that would impact FEMA, rest assured that the impact would be profound. Without the assistance from the federal government, Paul Ryan would succeed in turning pockets of this country into third world havens similar to the ones in Haiti. From there, the snowball or domino effect will take place and class warfare will ensue. Imagine parts of this country like a scene from out of Mad Max, marauding gangs fighting for fuel and food. What is wrong with these guys? They don't really care about us. They are myopic in their zeal to oust Obama at all cost and that includes not passing any legislation that would benefit the American people. It was Romney who wanted the automobile makers to file for bankruptcy but Obama had the foresight to see that smaller business would be harmed just as well creating a ripple effect that would have been massive to this American economy. After seeing the size of this storm, unprecedented measures will be needed to right many parts of the country. It would be interesting to see what big boy Governor Christie of New Jersey will have to say when he has his hands out for disaster relief. Maybe he should get it from Romney and Ryan?"

Mitt Romney In GOP Debate: Shut Down Federal Disaster Agency, Send Responsibility To The States
Mitt Romney In GOP Debate: Shut Down Federal Disaster Agency, Send Responsibility To The States: "If Romney had his way, privatizing disasters would be a disaster in itself. Price gouging is illegal in times of disasters but imagine a private company having the authority to do such that. You need water but it will cost you $20 for a gallon of water and you can't do anything about it. Your baby needs food, that's $5 for a small jar please. Hurricane Sandy has damaged many states along its travel up the eastern seaboard. Can all of these states coordinate with one another without the help of a federal agency? I live in a state that has seen its fair share of hurricanes coming up the Gulf of Mexico. I've gone through these hurricanes and had my disasters. If it wan't for the federal government providing disaster relief, many in the state of Texas would still be living under blue tarp roofs. This current disaster highlights the limited short sighted vision Mitt Romnisia has. You can't keep playing politics with the American peoples lives like many in the Republican party has. Even his running mate, Paul Ryan, wants to cut funding for federal disasters. I wonder if he will; walk back his words on this one after the death toll is finally counted and the millions in property damage has been assessed. Spin away, Romney, spion away."

Kathy Freston: Why Do Vegetarians Live Longer?: "At the time, I had been a vegetarian for over 20 years when my appendix had ruptured. Being a regular guy, I thought it was a host of other things like an anxiety attack with intense mind searing pain. I called my best friend and told him and I talked to a psychiatrist who told me to go to the hospital. I didn't a waited 4 days because on that 4th day, I couldn't move out of the bed and included in the period was me blacking out on the toilet and waking up with my head in a mop bucket. Another best friend came and got me and after a host of test, they concluded the appendix had burst. All of my insides had turned black from poisoning and I was 30 minutes away from death. I attribute my survival on being a vegetarian. 1 and 1/2 years ago I had my heart tested and the doctor told me that I had a "freakishly perfect heart" because I had a plant based diet. All the numbers were textbook perfect. It's not for everyone, I got started because the college food made me sick in my first semester. If they had cooked better food, maybe I wouldn't have survived the appendix and had a bad heart?"

Is 'Revenge' Season 2 Bad? See The 7 Shows We're Quitting This Season: "I've given up on shows as well; How I Met Your Mother got dumped by me after season 1. They made me like Robin and Ted and when they dumped that premise, I vowed never to be suckered in because these morons can't write a good relationship story for some reason. Revenge went to the well one time too many on getting revenge. It's a soap opera. Two Broke Girls was never funny and the main joke is about saying the word "vagina" as many times as possible. New Girl quirkiness wears out quick, I was more interested in Schmidt and the hot chick story line and was hoping the writers wouldn't screw that up. After two episodes, I was done with Glee. Bones is a victim of the baseball playoffs so give it time to get running again. 30 Rock isn't trying anymore with a skinny Alec Baldwin, need fat Alec Baldwin. Parenthood is the most underrated show that's not getting the pimp factor from NBC. Don't bring back Whitney, regional California comics unknown to the rest of the country don't translate well, needs to have a show like Johnny Carson did in the past that gave comics broader appeal, too bad that show doesn't exist anymore. So much to say with so little space."

Soledad O'Brien To Rudy Giuliani: 'Stop Putting Words In My Mouth' (VIDEO): "Rudy Giuliani makes the point that getting older seems to erode parts of your brain where you become a doddering stereotype relegated to a senior citizen retirement village because answering simple direct questions makes it hard to focus. Soon, he won't be able to recognize faces, is that Bush or Gore? He'll become a spokesperson for a GPS tracking device because it worked well on him whenever he becomes lost when he wanders from home. He'll pick up the phone and thinks he's still the mayor of New York when he tries to reach Batman and Commissioner Gordon because he thinks he saw the Riddler when in fact, it was Joan Rivers. Instead, he gets small petty minded men bent on making him look bad all at the expense and toll on the American people. So what if you are upside down in your mortgage and the president has a solution to solve it only to be swatted down by an obstructionist Republican party. ThreeCrows: The history of this nation has treated Native Americans with: "The teaching of American history in this country is never an in-depth topic when it comes to the Native American culture. There is plenty of information of the forming of this nation by the Europeans and restrained discussion on slavery because it still remains a major stain on the treatment and dehumanization of a race but with the Native American culture, we hear the requisite stories of Pocahontas and Sacajawea because f their association with helping white explorers and they are safe, Disney themed makeovers. We also here about Custer and Little Big Horn with the notion that Custer was this great U.S. soldier who was massacred with his troops because he tale was retold by those who succeeded in rewriting his history. A recent documentary revealed that Custer had massacred many Native Americans tribes in such horrible manners with full support of the U.S. because land was the prize sought and these tribes stood in the way. Custer created his own holocaust and only in digging deeper do we find the truth as to who he was, a murderer. My Native ancestor were placed on a forced march called the Trail of Tears but you won't see that in American history books."

Lana Del Rey's 'Ride' Video: 'I Believe In The Country America Used To Be'
Lana Del Rey's 'Ride' Video: 'I Believe In The Country America Used To Be': "The history of this nation has treated Native Americans with disdain starting with many broken treaties in order to take away their land, destroying many of the cultural beliefs and traditions in order to "civilize them" for white Americans that the image of Lana Del Rey wearing a ceremonial headdress is equivalent of any Christian, Jewish or Muslim religious symbol. It's not a question of which one is more sacred as you put it but what it represents to the people who've seen it abused at sporting events and other venues by non Native Americans based on pure arrogance, lack of respect, stupidity and just blatant racism. Where have you seen other races appear as a mascot in sporting events? Are there Jewish rabbis clowning around on basketball courts? Do you see Catholic nuns on the sidelines doing cheers? Do you see fans giving signs of the cross in the stadium while reciting Gregorian chants? But with Native Americans, they are treated as non-people, pets, cartoons. Even the Amish get better respect than Native Americans. Space doesn't allow any further exploration on this topic."

ThreeCrows: Very interesting shot of the woman on the bed with
Very interesting shot of the woman on the bed with the leopard skin cover and the old style furniture gives it a clean look with an additional one point perspective gives it a classic look. Don't know if digital can reproduce the kind of style and feel these days without photoshopping it? These images were chemically produced and created by time involvement. These shots had to be set up and carefully done in order to get the shot that you see now. Today's digital can go through hundreds of exposures and just discard the ones you don't like. And although the chemical days are in decline, digital has shown it's strength as technology moves forward. And perhaps the debate moves on with photography of film versus digital just like in music of vinyl versus CD. And the beat goes on.
ThreeCrows: Very interesting shot of the woman on the bed with: "I've worked in small, medium and large formats in the past. I had an old Speed Graflex camera at one time that got stolen along with some other cameras but I did shoot some interesting black and white stills with that camera. In looking back at that, digital could not reproduce that surreal allure that the image produced. Now that digital is here and the megapixel rates keeps increasing, the need to hang on to that era slips further away. If I still had the Graflex, it would be a collector's item just like an old Brownie is now. Still, being a photographer today means accepting the latest gizmo that brings out the brightest reds and clearest image that retains its focus no matter how much you blow it up. I took some great images of a harvest moon the other night with my digital Nikon and 500mm lens. It's hard not to bemoan the days of film when you see these images. Kodachrome will be lost on the next generation but it did pave the way for technology to meet that standard, I still have some good slides from that process. Preserve your memories, that's all that's left you."

Tim Cook Issues Apology For Apple Maps
Tim Cook Issues Apology For Apple Maps: "There is an old saying that Tim Cook should have remembered, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The Google map feature was and is still a good app to find locations without a problem. The cities are where they are suppose to be and the landmarks aren't stuck in the middle of a body of water. So now users have to find a work around and I'm sure Tim must have choked on his words when he had to mention Google begrugingly. If the millions of users hand't complained about Google maps and you guys had some little tiff, when it have been better for Apple to err on the side of it's users and worked out your agreement in an interim basis? Sounds like Apple's Maps is the replacement scab referee of the Superbowl mapping game while the official Google map referee waits on the sideline. Get it together Tim, I just turned into the Mississippi river trying to get to Disneyland."

Robin Roberts Bone Marrow Transplant Begins: 'GMA' Anchor Tells Fans, 'I Feel The Love' (VIDEO)
Robin Roberts Bone Marrow Transplant Begins: 'GMA' Anchor Tells Fans, 'I Feel The Love' (VIDEO): "Back in the 90's I had a friend who was a local news anchor and at the end of her broadcast, she revealed she had been fighting cancer by removing her wig to display her baldness. I wound up interviewing her on my radio show at the time to bring awareness with her fight with the cancer, She had breast cancer and she corrected me as I had called it "your cancer" and she said she liked to refer to it as "the cancer" because she didn't want to claim ownership of it. She had tried some controversial cancer treatment by this Dr. Burzynski, I may be wrong in the spelling of his name. Her health insurance had ran out and fund raisers were held for her but in the end, the cancer had spread to other parts of her body. When I see Robin, it brings back memories of my friend. She passed away in a hospice in the early Tuesday morning at 6:00am. I miss my friend and I wish Robin all the hope in the world to get better. My friend was Sydney Seaward"

Jon Stewart Rips Fox News Over Romney 47 Percent Coverage: 'Chaos On Bullshit Mountain' (VIDEO)
Jon Stewart Rips Fox News Over Romney 47 Percent Coverage: 'Chaos On Bullshit Mountain' (VIDEO): "As predicted a couple of days ago, I knew Jon would light into the new Mitt Romney campaign headquarters, Fox News. He succinctly nailed it and at the end, you can't but feel more agitated by the level of hypocrisy Fox News continues to slide out their colon. A five month old tape versus a 14 year old tape is not the same thing. Obama was sporting a half from and no gray hair. In 1998 we had at the movies Titanic, Armageddon and Saving Private Ryan. In music we had the Spice Girls, Chumbawamba, Marilyn Manson and Green Day. On TV we had The X-Files, NYPD Blue and The Nanny. And in 1998, Mitt Romney was for abortion and health care reform. Things change as we see. Fox News has not. They are still the malevolent run dictatorship outlet that's myopic in its reporting. Mitt Romney could have taken ice cream from a kid and Fox News would have reported it like Mitt saved the kid from childhood obesity. If Obama had done it, they'd charge him with a hate crime."

Mitt Romney: 'My Campaign Is About The 100 Percent'
Mitt Romney: 'My Campaign Is About The 100 Percent': "Mitt Romney is making the claim that his campaign is about the 100 percent of America. How many of you believe that, raise your hand. How many of you don't believe that, raise your hand. The reason why many of you don't believe that is because Mitt Romney is speaking. He hasn't changed his ideology overnight and if elected in office, his first commitment is to those high dollar people he entertained at that fundraiser followed by his party and the special interest. So, where do you think you'll fall in line for Mitt Romney to be concerned about you? as a candidate, Mitt Romney has demonstrated extremely poor judgement during the Libyan crisis and the subsequent press conferences where he just blatantly lied about the time line of events and what was said and with his video release where he makes no apology for basically saying the 47% of the American people is no his concern. Hurricane Katrina comes back to mind about how Mitt Romney sees that 47%. And he is still sticking to the term "those people" in this stacked gathering. Who are "those people"? This is my country and some how Mitt seems to think some of us don't belong here if your income isn't a certain level or that you have no merit other than just to serve "his kind" by changing his tires, picking up his garbage, catering his parties, putting out his fires. He just doesn't make you feel welcome, this tin man."

Mitt Romney Makes 'Redistribution' Argument, Bolstered by Fox News, Conservative Media
Mitt Romney Makes 'Redistribution' Argument, Bolstered by Fox News, Conservative Media: "There's a saying that if you visit a cow ranch, you can't walk a straight line without eventually stepping in a load. if you appear on Fox, there isn't a straight face that your hear that would eventually drop a load as well. Fox is now running Mitt Romney's campaign remotely. Sure, their hands aren't dirty but they are providing the talking points in hopes of changing the dialogue. Matt Drudge is working it as well by not reporting any of the leaks on his site but he's no journalist, just a hat wearing pretender who pilfers other journalism sites. This 14 year old video of Obama is another pilfered clip by Drudge. You don't get the full context just enough to provoke fake outrage from Fox, very disingenuous. Have they not learn anything from the Breitbart incident of the U.S. Agriculture woman who was blamed for being a racist after that footage was cut to appear that she was a racist? Fox and Drudge won't show the full unedited video because they would look foolish. Give it a moment, Jon Stewart will make them look foolish once again. The "fair and balance" Fox wants you to forget all of what Mitt said but the truth is that the true Mitt Romney showed up at the country club. The pretend Mitt is the one that goes on Kelly Ripa and gets tossed softball questions and goes on Fox for salvation. We know who you really are Mitt, you're Richard Nixon."

Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck Argue Over Mitt Romney Video (VIDEO)
Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck Argue Over Mitt Romney Video (VIDEO): "With apologies to the blind, this is an example of the blind leading the stupid when it comes to the rants and ravings of Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Anyone with a stick of common sense would know better to get behind this floundering campaign of Mitt Romney and yet this floating buoy has been adrift in the deepest parts of the sea having yet to grow a spine or a truthful opinion about her own party. She is truly the parrot of Republican followers. If it's raining outside and Mitt tells her it's sunny, she'll report it just so. She missed the entire point of the video leak and what it means to this election process. Mitt is not who he say he is and while he sat around his Fortune 500 segregated club members, his true self came forth and he denigrated half of the voting populous with generalities. He also tossed in some hint of racism with the "those people" comment and yet this blond feels insulted for being addressed down. Well, this isn't Survivor, Elizabeth, this is the real world so the American people will vote Mitt off the presidential contest."

Romney Presidency Will Boost Economy 'Without Actually Doing Anything,' Mitt Romney Says
Romney Presidency Will Boost Economy 'Without Actually Doing Anything,' Mitt Romney Says: "Yea, though I, Mitt Romney, shall walk in the valley of the shadow of the 47% people, I shall fear no entitlement programs. The Bush tax cuts, they comfort me and my 1% folk. Thou tax accountant keeps my offshore bank accounts from my enemies. Grecian formula anoints my graying temples, my mouth runneth over. Surely my private exclusive segregated country club shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall be beholding to big oil forever because I signed an oath in blood."

Bianca Bosker: What Google Isn't Telling Us About The Video It's Banned In 5 Countries (And Counting)
Bianca Bosker: What Google Isn't Telling Us About The Video It's Banned In 5 Countries (And Counting): "I have noticed that YouTube have removed videos in the past based on some of the more simplistic reasons, misuse of a song, provocative images that comes close to nudity but doesn't show it, or basically at their whim. They can argue that they are Innocence free speech but there are users who would kindly disagree. Justifying the Innocence of Muslims to remain is a weak one when it could be removed on the grounds that the people who participated in the film were duped into believing they were making something else. Is there lives on the line now? The director of this piece of donkey dung went into hiding for fear of his life so that should give YouTube impetus to remove it based on the possibility that bodily harm will come to those who participated in it. YouTube has removed bullying videos or taunting videos in the past and this video is a taunting video masquerading as art. The director himself has readily admitted that he made the film to provoke the Muslims based on his religious convictions and how he felt treated as he is a Coptic Christian Egyptian. So you can always find a valid reason to remove anything if you look close enough. If the film would have used some Justin Beiber music in it, it would have been pulled."

Pundits: Mitt Romney Fundraiser Comments His 'Darkest Hour,' 'Utter Disaster' (VIDEO)
Pundits: Mitt Romney Fundraiser Comments His 'Darkest Hour,' 'Utter Disaster' (VIDEO): "Who knew that a Saturday Night Live season opener skit showing Barack Obama's secret weapon of Mitt Romney giving a speech would have been a harbinger of things to come? It's Romney's own words that's damaging himself, not any opposition ad, not the media, just Mitt himself. And there is his sheer arrogance in holding these press conferences that do him no good will. His first one during the attack on the Libyan consulate was arrogant and filled with plenty of wrong headed information. His followup press conference was premium pure arrogance when he doubled down on the rhetoric and compounded his error even more. And with his latest hastily called press conference he makes no apology but says that the wording wasn't right. And anytime you have the phrase "hastily called press conference" it's never a good thing. In that closed meeting at this country club, Mitt used words that only solidified the truth of who he really is versus the plastic Romney he presents. Words like "those people" and "victims" will ring loudly in these coming weeks as Mitt's campaign and some core Republicans and Palin try to defend him once again. Richard Nixon is smiling down or up to see that he has a new protege."

Zoƫ Triska: The Worst Word Ever
Zoƫ Triska: The Worst Word Ever: "I always refer to it as the "p" word cause it does something to my ears whenever I hear it. I too found that I am not alone in the disdain for this word. There are two women on the show @TMZ who don't like the word. I thought it odd since these were women who should be use to the word, but there it was, a bond if you must. But why that word, what caused it to become so detested? I'm comfortable with underwear, it's gender neutral. I don't like the word underpants when describing men's underwear, you're not four. And I don't like referring to women's underwear as draws. I ended a relationship when the woman said that. I know it was Seinfeldish behavior but I knew each time she said it, it was like nails on a chalkboard. But the "p" word is worse for me. One guy commented that it sounded like you were talking like pedophilia and you just didn't want that connotation linked back to you. So if you're over the age of ten, just call it underwear and let's see if we can get rid of the word metrosexual when the word fastidious was there all along just because a New York writer was too lazy to look up a definition for an immaculate man."

Jon Stewart Takes On Conservative Hypocrisy Over Middle Eastern Democracy (VIDEO)
Jon Stewart Takes On Conservative Hypocrisy Over Middle Eastern Democracy (VIDEO): "The mirror has two faces Sarah Palin seems to have a short term memory of what she's said as do the other ones. These are suppose to be the premiere voices of the Republican party, astute, intelligent, colorful and yet Jon Stewart once again displays how truly ignorant they are, not by attacking them by his words but by attacking them with their own words. These are obtuse people and a reflection of Mitt Romney's two weeks of blunders. Oh how having footage of your conversations comes back to bite you where your brains don't shine. Credibility, sincerity, compassion are all tossed aside for their political dogma. for them, George W. Bush was this visionary when it came to foreign diplomacy; for them, Obama is the devil of all fears causing the Middle East to burn. Well, you can't regurgitate your words and expel them from your dogma and then take on a different posture just to demonize Obama, but then again you can since it's Fox News. And just like Mitt Romney, eventually you will implode on your own gravitas."

Mitt Romney Video: Barack Obama Voters 'Dependent On Government' (UPDATED)
Mitt Romney Video: Barack Obama Voters 'Dependent On Government' (UPDATED): "Of late, press conferences have been unkind to Mitt Romney. He just doesn't seem to understand the need to wait a minute before running to the microphone. And it seems like running to a microphone has gotten himself into another quagmire, He suppose to be running for president of all of te people but is apparently not running for 47% of them. What happened to winning over the hearts and minds regardless? Mitt Romney's Titanic campaign has struck another floater, this one is called the middle class. The middle class doesn't matter as he refers to them as "those people". "Those people" is a phrase that sticks in a lot of peoples conscious because it carries a lot of negative connotations. It says that I'm better than you, smarter than you, more privilege than you. The coldness of Romney is that he makes claims that displays his aloofness from the average Joe and Jane. Obama shows compassion and warmth, something Mitt lacks and can't compete. As his campaign implodes on itself for the second week in a row, the person who was lucky enough to win the Republican raffle in the primaries can't pry that silver spoon from out of his throat as he's choked on his words again."

Mitt Romney Video: Barack Obama Voters 'Dependent On Government': "Sorry Mitt for not having an offshore bank account so that I can hide my hundreds of dollars from those prying government officials and sorry for not attending one of your country clubs rubbing elbows with your peers but then again, they may not like my kind judging by your coded speech regarding "those people". Who are "those people" Mitt? And I've said this early on about you, you're becoming more and more like a Nixon Republican with your clandestine meetings hoping nobody will hear the real Romney. And we also see that you were never really a truly vetted candidate but the party really didn't want, they had to settle for what appears now a very weak and vulnerable man. Clint Eastwood talked to an empty seat. When he talked to you, he's speaking to an empty suit."

Mitt Romney Video: Barack Obama Voters 'Dependent On Government': "I can't speak for everyone who didn't have the luxury of having boarding school paid for, college paid for, graduate school paid for and a first home aid for by a parent, Mitt Romney, some of us took out government backed school loans to go to college. So what do we fall in your utopian world? We are the everyday workers ho wake up each morning and figure out how to manage an economic crisis with the little that we have. We may complain from time to time but we get by. You, on the other hand, seems to whine about your plight and the 99% who have come to make their voices known about the continued disparities that's taken place by your 1%. A long time ago they would call you a robber baron but today they have more choice and direct words to call you. I was waiting for this show to drop surrounding you and it's no surprise. It just shows your arrogance that this nation was plagued with by key personnel from the previous administration that got us into two wars and a massive debt that Obama is trying to work out. So while this next fallout of your campaign will eat up this weeks news cycle, no amount of spinning will make this go away too soon. Ah, that social media. Can you Twitter out of this one, Mitt?"

Mitt Romney Searches For A Former Clarity: The 2012 Speculatron Weekly Roundup For Sept. 14
Mitt Romney Searches For A Former Clarity: The 2012 Speculatron Weekly Roundup For Sept. 14: "As four coffins draped with American flags came home, Mitt Romney's point of view was to go for broke and catch the first wave of the 24/7 cycle during the Libyan embassy crisis. The article classify Romney as shameless in his approach and apparently his hastily called press conference to reiterate his point seems to born true. Romney's behavior seems almost like it was carved out of some B-movie of the politician willing to do and say anything to unseat his rival. Nobody would have thought that the lies that went on during the RNC would be the bell weather of the Romney campaign. Of course the Romney advisors did proclaim that fact checking would be ignored so in the Libyan crisis, facts were placed aside as well as some GOP flunkies began to spin the story and attempt to alter the truth. Stupid is as stupid does. So in the following days of the campaign, Romney will continue to spin this as Obama's fault while ignoring his own failings, that he's a candidate that really wasn't the GOP's first choice, second choice, third choice but the reluctant leftover from a list of candidates the populous chose like a game of musical chairs. I get the sense that if the election was held today, the American people would be glad to get this over with and end this Romney charade once and for all."

Chris Wallace, Gretchen Carlson Spar Over Mitt Romney's Response To Libya Attack (VIDEO)
Chris Wallace, Gretchen Carlson Spar Over Mitt Romney's Response To Libya Attack (VIDEO): "So in a nutshell when Chris Wallace said he wasn't going to debate the issue with Gretchen Carlson, he basically just dismissed her like a five year old school girl. It seems like her job is to prop up the Republican candidate not matter how unqualified Mitt Romney is. Those few Republicans who want to align themselves with Romney even after he placed his silver spoon foot in his mouth want to turn his crucial mistake into a re imagined rational argument. Carlson wants that re-imagined argument by trying to justify Romney's statement of what he should have said versus what he actually did and Chris made the point that he, Mitt Romney, called the press conference to discuss the memo. He not only buried himself with the rush to make himself look astute in foreign affairs, he piled on more dirt for himself by making it worse by taking a common sense approach to just wait a few hours. He needed to be ahead in the news cycle, he gambled and he lost. Now Gretchen wants to pretend it didn't happen and magically go back in time and spin the lies like Romney has been doing since the RNC. Sorry Charlie, his tuna is canned."

Steve Klein & 'Innocence Of Muslims': Film Promoter Remains Outspoken On Islam: "He looked around and saw 750 potential suicide bombers at various California mosque just by visual observation only. It seems to me that he falls in line with the likes of Ted Kaczynski , Timothy James "Tim" McVeigh, David Koresh and those other fringe loners who wind up with their own agenda of getting your attention in the worst kind of way. Romney: White House Agrees With Me On My Critique Of The President
Romney: White House Agrees With Me On My Critique Of The President: "As Romney continues to talk, he's falling deeper and deeper into a state of delusion. I'm waiting for him to say "Ahh, but the strawberries that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist". He continues to make up these tall tales and he doing it with great aplomb and appears to convince himself it actually happened. Any other person in any other setting and you would call this person clinically bi-polar. This has been going on for a while now and somebody needs to test this man's state of wellness. As every day gets closer and closer, the American confidence in this man wains ever further away. If this is how he deals with foreign matters, what will he do with more than one world crisis is blowing up, like now. It's 3 a.m., who do you want answering that phone call when things go wrong?"

Bob Cesca: Mitt Romney Kneejerks Into Another Colossal Blunder
Bob Cesca: Mitt Romney Kneejerks Into Another Colossal Blunder: "Dear Mitt Romney,
I understand you are running for president and as a citizen, you are entitled to voice your opinion on host of topics. In order for you to look "presidential" you've made overseas trips to give yourself some credibility in foreign affairs and as I understand it, you were up three times, struck out twice and made a walk on the last. I see you have now interjected yourself into the Libyan embassy crisis by making statements that were erroneous in the delivery and yet you forged ahead anyway continuing the errors. As a private citizen you have every right to voice a thought but you aren't the president. Your baseless equivocations only highlighted the fact that you ignored the loss of American lives over what was best for your campaign. Perhaps you were surprised by the backlash your statement received from both sides of the political spectrum and from some noted journalist who were dumbstruck by your arrogance and audacity. And yet, you doubled down and continued your berating of Obama. I understand you are becoming a Nixon Republican where lies and obfuscation were the norm. It's nice to know there is a history of candidates who thumb their noses at protocol. Not to worry, the people have long memories and this event you entwined yourself with won't be forgotten at the polls.
Cordially,
Three Crows"

Mitt Romney Turns Libya Stance To Mourning Diplomats' Deaths, Criticizing Obama's Leadership
Mitt Romney Turns Libya Stance To Mourning Diplomats' Deaths, Criticizing Obama's Leadership: "What a pig of a man Romney is and how quickly people forget about how Obama handles crisis. A Romney supporter called Obama a wimp but she seemed to have forgotten that it was Obama who ordered the rescue of the ship captain who was captured by Somali pirates. The pirates were about to execute him and sniper fire took some of them out with one survivor. The captain was rescued. And there have been numerous kills of al-Qeada terrorist that led up to the big fish, bin Laden. So if Mitt wants to make up more lies or ignore the facts, time will show that he's not fit to hold the highest office in the land or even being a parking valet. He pimped over the lives of four dead Americans just so he can try to politicize the event. It took him 24 hours to realize he messed up and in these days of perilous events, 24 hours is too long. The damage has been done and people still have long memories. If he want to be a Nixon Republican, do it in the land where he keeps his offshore bank accounts."

Mitt Romney Media Criticism Continues: 'He Looks Like Richard Nixon,' 'The Character And The Policy Were Both Revealed'
Mitt Romney Media Criticism Continues: 'He Looks Like Richard Nixon,' 'The Character And The Policy Were Both Revealed': "At the beginning of the Romney/Ryan campaign, I've been classifying these two as Nixon Republicans based on the lies, obfuscations and smarmy behavior these men demonstrated at the RNC and in subsequent interviews as they tried to justify the lies they told. Can this country afford another Nixon? Look at what Romney is doing right now, he's basing his argument on misinformation and he refuses to correct himself. Now imagine him in office and some event has occurred or he's aligned himself with creating a war with Iran or North Korea. He'll go to the American public and tells some grandiose lie that an imminent threat was about to occur and an immediate response would have been needed to avert this threat. No it seems to me we had someone in office about a few years ago who said that there were weapons of mass destruction and we needed to go in that place and find them and topple that regime. Billions went down the drain, thousands of lives were lost and no WMD's were found. Still, they justified their argument with at least a tyrant was put out of office when in fact, he went after him because he threaten his daddy. We don't need another Nixon liar in the White House."
