Channing Tatum: Sexy Is Difficult For Guys Wearing Thongs In 'Magic Mike': "I predict Magic Mike will bomb. The makers of this movie is making the assumption that this one dimensional character is enough to woo gullible superficial women. Call this the "Showgirls/Coyote Ugly" of male stripper movies. This movie wants you to accept the notion that women are going to sway and swoon over shirtless muscle bound high school dropouts and think that's great filmmaking. The only thing I see is it being a total waste of resources to make this a theatrical release. It would have been cheaper if they would have shot this on a regular handheld camcorder in a warehouse and shoot it in two days like any porn flick.
