'The Hobbit' 48FPS Footage Divides Audiences At CinemaCon: "I wouldn't jump to soon to conclusion with the look of The Hobbit. Much of the cinematic quality can be easily fixed in post to give it those warm hues that everyone has come to like. We have come into a new generation of filmmaking now. High end digital cameras have done away with the standard 35mm processed lab filmmaking approach. Red cameras, Canon Mark III and the like are the new standard bearers to filmmaking. I use a digital camera in my work and use three different editing programs. Each one can give you those warm tones or cold moods you need and even can do things the old way couldn't do unless you paid a fortune for editing time. Give it a chance and let's see how it shakes out. Change is always tough when the technology moves as fast as it does."
